The 2D-Anisotropy Module allows to measure
thermal properties linked to the warmth transfer of anisotropic materials such as layered materials or
fiber-reinforced plastics... |

To measure anisotropic materials, the
sensor is sandwiched between two pieces of the sample having flat surfaces. A
continuous electric power is sent inside the double spiral. |

For the 2D-Anisotropy Module, the
sent power is between 1 and 10 W. The manipulation time
varies between 2.5 and 640 s and the sensor diameter is
between 1 and 60 millimeters. |

Of course, these parameters depend on the layer and
nature of material. While measurement, pressure evolution inside the spiral is
recorded. This pressure is proportional to the temperature evolution at the sensor surface.

During experimentation, from temperature data and specific heat capacity valor (known in advance), thermal conductivity and axial and radial thermal diffusivity of anisotropic material are calculated. |
